Hyderabad: The 54th National Safety Day ended on Wednesday with a vibrant ceremony, culminating a week-long safety awareness campaign.

Employees, industrial staff, and students from neighbouring schools actively participated in the initiative, aimed at fostering a strong safety culture.

Satish Kamat, President (Operations), Sri City, hoisted the safety flag and administered the safety pledge. Emphasising the importance of prioritising safety, he stated that sustained growth depends on a ‘safety-first’ approach. Adherence to safety protocols, use of personal protective equipment, and strict compliance with safety standards are essential for a secure work environment, he added.

In a message, Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City, underscored the

significance of this year’s National Safety Council theme, ‘Safety & Well-being Crucial for Viksit Bharat’.

He urged all stakeholders to work towards building a safe and thriving industrial ecosystem, aligning with the vision of a developed India.

The event also featured an address by Mr. Y. Ramesh, Senior Manager, Security & Vigilance, who spoke to students about road safety. To encourage active participation, various safety-themed competitions were conducted, with prizes distributed by Satish Kamat, Ramesh Kumar, and Mohammad Ali, GM (Infra). The week-long celebrations were coordinated by K Narendra Babu, Manager, Environment, Health & Safety.
